The Embraer Foundation is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization launched in 2017. It was modeled after Instituto Embraer, which has led the social investment initiatives for Embraer in Brazil since 2001. In addition to the volunteering and grants programs, the Institute operates two high schools focused on equipping students with technical, social, environmental and entrepreneurial skills.
The Embraer Foundation was created to consolidate and expand Embraer’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the United States. Motivated by innovation, we strive for social and environmental development through community engagement and educational projects.
Through annual local grants the Embraer Foundation creates positive impact in the communities where our employees live and work. To ensure each grant awarded is relevant to the critical needs of the community, programs are selected by our employee-based grant review committees at each location.
(e)NVEST Community Grants contribute to a meaningful and common global goal. Programs, projects, and initiatives are considered based on their alignment to one of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) below.

The Brevard Zoo has a mission of “wildlife conservation through education and participation.” Our grant supported to Zoo to further this mission. Along with the help of Embraer volunteers, an information kiosk was constructed for visitors to learn about climate change and climate action. Brevard County's vulnerability to sea level rise and other climate change impacts - and what individuals may do to offset the latter - are important for visitors to learn about. Brevard County, FL
Clarke School for Hearing and Speech provides children who are deaf or hard of hearing with the listening, learning and spoken language skills they need to succeed. To strengthened their students’ STEM skills, Embraer employees installed a Magnet Wall purchased with the grant funds. The Magnet Wall is a unique platform for expanding creative play in the classroom. Kids can explore slopes, cause & effect, momentum and gravity through hands on experimentation. This adds an interactive competent to their lessons fostering the kid’s natural inclination to explore, to build and question. Jacksonville, FL.
The Codecraft Foundation provides financial aid to help students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate in Codecraft Works’ program – an educational technology company powering a blended learning approach to computer science, engineering, and cybersecurity curriculum for students and educators. The PPG provided scholarships for 80 low-income students to participate in ongoing STEM related after-school programs, labs and clubs. The scholarship recipients received a cumulative 484 hours of access to an online learning platform and instruction from community mentors over the course of the performance period. Melbourne, FL.
Through volunteering, our employees come together with the purpose of making a difference. Each year, Embraer offers 8 volunteer time off (VTO) hours to encourage giving back to the communities where we operate.
Our goal is to inspire employees to take a day away from work to engage in experiences that bring us together as a company, and as a community.
To build tailored and relevant community development, we value our employees’ input on local needs. Thus, most volunteer initiatives the Embraer Foundation promotes, come from within our team. With an approach focused on maximizing local employee engagement, we truly make a difference.
Throughout history, Embraer has relied on innovation and creativity to further its success. We believe that by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, we can inspire the next generation to join us flying high in this beautiful journey.
The Embraer Foundation hosts groups of young students at our Embraer sites. While the students spend a day at Embraer, our employees volunteer to share their passion for aviation, giving the students the opportunity to learn how our industry works. Through the transfer of knowledge, we aim to ignite the curiosity in future industry leaders.
